Wallbox is located in southeast Arlington, between I-20 and I-30. Their manufacturing facilityis east of Highway 360, south of Pioneer Parkway (Highway 303), north of Arkansas Lane, and west of Highway 161 (President George Bush Turnpike). The building is new, and doesn't appear to be present on most satellite images.

Wallbox is a smart electric-vehicle-charging company that designs, manufactures and distributes electric vehicle charging technologies. Wallbox expects to manufacture 290,000 units annually at the Arlington, Texas plant by 2027, reaching a full capacity of 500,000 annual units by 2030.
Wallbox is opening their facility to NTREG for an opportunity to learn more about their manufacturing facility in Arlington. Located at 2240 Forum Drive, Wallbox’s 150,000 square foot manufacturing plant will host NTREG's May 11, 2024 meeting.
Founded in 2015 in Barcelona, Spain using the name "Wall Box Chargers", they created the world's first bi-directional electric vehicle ("EV") charger for the residential market in 2019. Wallbox has more than 900 employees in Europe, Asia, and North America. On an interesting note, Wallbox was the first electric vehicle charging company to ever run an ad during a Super Bowl football game, which took place during Super Bowl LVI in 2022.
This is one of the few times in NTREG's 20+ year history where we've had an opportunity to tour a manufacturing facility. This field trip will make our May 11 meeting a day to remember, and an excellent way to learn more about this global company's commitment to innovation and making a difference in our ever changing world.
Important Information for NTREG'S Field Trip Participants:
- CLOTHING: Everyone must wear full-coverage CLOSE-TOED shoes for the tour. No flip-flops, sandals (even with sox), or other shoes which do not entirely enclose the foot, especially the toes. This is a safety requirement.
- ARRIVAL TIME: Please arrive between 9:30 a.m. and absolutely no later than 10:00 a.m. If you arrive after 10:00 a.m., you might have to wait outside for up to 30 minutes or more until the presentation by our host is finished, and someone can check for late arrivals. Since our meeting is on a weekend, Wallbox staffing is minimal.
- PHOTOGRAPHY / VIDEOS: No photos or video recordings of the engineering or manufacturing areas.
