Welcome to the North Texas Renewable Energy Group

The North Texas Renewable Energy Group ("NTREG") is a Strategically Affiliated Chapter of the Texas Solar Energy Society. We meet on the second Saturday of each month, where we have guest speakers that educate our meeting attendees about renewable energy, energy efficiency, alternative transportation, and more. We also go on "field trips" to learn about solar energy sites, energy efficient buildings and other topics of interest.

NTREG members and supporters participate in a variety of events throughout the year such as Earth Days, the Solar Car Challenge, DFW Solar Tour, and other local, regional, and national activities.

Founded in 2001, NTREG is the largest and most active affiliate of the Texas Solar Energy Society.

NTREG Board Elections
February 2025

The following 2-year positions expire in February. A name in the following list doesn't mean you can't run for the position, but that an existing Officer is willing to continue the role. If it's a position you'd like, please volunteer! The existing Officer might want a different position, or to step back!
 
Only one position, "Events Coordinator", has no named candidate. Our dedicated and efficient Coordinator, Robert Lagerblad, is moving, but can bootstrap the new Officer. We really need to fill this critical position. The "machine" is well greased, but needs YOU.
 
And, to our new Student and Young Professional categories of members, you're voting members, and can certainly throw your hat in the ring, as well. All members in good standing can vote – Or run.
